NOLA River Fest 2020 Lineup Announcement

NEW ORLEANS (September 18, 2020) — The 8th annual NOLA River Fest takes place the week of September 21-27, 2020, online at nolariverfest.org and on facebook.com/nolariverfest/live. NOLA River Fest celebrates the environmental, cultural, and economic impact of the Mississippi River and the land it built through live music, panels, and virtual tours that explore this year’s theme “Working on the River.” A full schedule of events can be found at nolariverfest.org

To celebrate the festival, live music will be streamed daily from the New Orleans Jazz Museum at the Mint. This year’s musical lineup will include performances by Kinfolk Brass Band, Thais Clark and the Jazz Foundation of America All Star Jazz Ensemble, Mayumi Shara & Tack Tom Revolution, Treme Brass Band, The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, L.U.C. and Rebel Babel Ensemble from Poland, Grayhawk Perkins, and Bon Bon Vivant. On Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 5:00pm Kinfolk Brass Band, Big Queen Mary Kay of the Original Wild Tchoupitoulas Indians and the N’awlins Dawlins Babydolls will lead the annual NOLA River Fest kickoff with a social-distance second line and concert from the balcony.

Livestreamed virtual panels include a Mississippi River flyover, history review, photography discussion, and an exploration of the Poverty Point World Heritage Site. Panel viewers can also join in on ZOOM. For a list of panelists, please visit https://www.nolariverfest.org/speakers
