In celebration of Women’s History Month, we begin our salute to Women in Jazz during our Jazz Masters Series. New Orleans vocalist Topsy Chapman, a gospel performer and jazz vocalist who has appeared at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival as well as performed in 12 Years a Slave (2013) joins the Arrowhead Jazz Band (Rangers Jon Beebe, James Barry, and Bud Holmes) to perform and interpret New Orleans traditional and jazz standards. The band will also be joined by Mayumi Shara on drums.
