Los Tres Amigos

lostresamigos.jpg

Join us for the musical stylings of Los Tres Amigos with Steve Masakowski on guitar, Hector Gallardo on percussion & James Singleton on bass.

Steve Masakowski has long been regarded as one of the top Jazz artists from New Orleans. Born and raised in New Orleans, Steve Masakowski has played guitar with most of the city’s greatest musicians including Alvin “Red” Tyler, Ellis Marsalis, Danny Barker, Earl Turbinton, and James Black. He has also performed with Grammy Award-winning artists Bobby McFerrin, Nicholas Payton, Allen Toussaint, Dianne Reeves and others at major festivals around the world.

James Singleton is an acoustic bassist, composer, and producer. He is a member of the New Orleans-based jazz group Astral Project.

Hector Gallardo is considered by his colleagues in the Latin music circle as the most talented among them, and is a pioneer and founder of several groups. At the same time, he has lifted the curtain on ethnic stigmas, often accompanied by some of the best non-Latin musicians in the city.

Free and open to the public, sponsored by the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park.
