New Orleans Artists Against Hunger and Homelessness presents Legacy of Caring Concert Celebrating Allen Toussaint.

New Orleans Artists Against Hunger and Homelessness (NOAAHH) will celebrate NOAAHH co-founder Allen Toussaint’s Legacy of Caring with a benefit concert on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at the New Orleans Jazz Museum at the Mint (400 Esplanade Ave. New Orleans). The event will feature Jon Cleary, Ivan Neville, David Torkanowsky, George Porter Jr., Tony Hall and Raymond Weber.

The annual concert is held in honor of Toussaint’s birthday, which is January 14. Proceeds will support grants that NOAAHH distributes to philanthropic and nonprofit agencies and charities in the Greater New Orleans region that address the issues of hunger and homelessness.

Toussaint and Aaron Neville founded NOAAHH in 1985, when they brought together a group of New Orleans musicians to perform a concert that would benefit the New Orleans areas’ hungry and homeless people. Since then, NOAAHH has distributed more than $3 million in grants to more than 50 organizations.
