The New Orleans Catahoulas (cat-a-hoo-las) specialize in the lost sounds of the city’s golden age of Rhythm and Blues- the 1950s and 60s. Their mission is to bring back the nearly forgotten music of that musical era, and to inspire a new generation who embraces its rhythm and soul. For this show, the Catahoulas will be performing songs from Allen Toussaint, Fats Domino, Dave Bartholomew, Dr. John, and Art Neville.
This event is open to the public, presented by the New Orleans Jazz Museum. Tickets are $8 and include admission to the Museum’s exhibits. Tickets can be purchased online here or at the door (cash only).
