The Wildest: Louis Prima Comes Home Exhibit Opening
Join us on Wednesday, May 1, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm for the opening of the latest New Orleans Jazz Museum exhibit, The Wildest: Louis Prima Comes Home. Free and open to the public.
The Wildest: Louis Prima Comes Home opening reception will feature a special performance from Lena Prima, daughter of Louis Prima, the Arrowhead Jazz Band, hors d’oeuvres from the Garnished Palette, and an open bar highlighting local cocktails.
As a trumpeter, singer, songwriter, and performer, Louis Prima’s swinging persona conquered New York, Las Vegas, Hollywood, and points in between. Celebrate with us in Prima’s hometown, view rare photographs, hear exclusive recordings, see his instruments and fabulous stage wear for the first time at the Jazz Museum.
