Join us in the New Orleans Jazz Museum’s Jazz Education Center for a special performance of French dance project “New Orleans Fever: A Bridge of Dance Between the Continent.” "New Orleans fever" is a project imagined by choreographer Marie Houdin, which brings together dancers from France and New Orleans. Six dancers of the project are building the bases of their artistic collaboration, which will end in France in September/October. Starting from the social function of dance, they explore what both binds them and makes them singular. "New Orleans Fever" is part of the choreographer's overall project, called "The Unexpected Dance," which she is developing between continents. This performance will also be an opportunity for her to share some of the images she made last year during interviews conducted between Senegal, Cuba, New Orleans and France.
The presentation and performance is free and open to the public, presented by the New Orleans Jazz Museum.
