ABOUT Alicia Renee a.k.a. “Blue Eyes” - nicknamed for her natural and bright blue eyes - was born in Flint, Michigan (USA) and has been performing on stages since the age of 2. Her voice has been described as a mix of Amy Winehouse, Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston. Alicia honed her vocal talent and love of all genres of music from Opera to Classical, Blues to Jazz and R&B to Country Music at the Flint Institute of Music, also studying piano, flute, clarinet and trumpet. From her first performance in The Wiz musical, to singing in venues all over the world - including La Scene in Paris, the Jazz Café in London, the North Sea Jazz Festival in Holland, and the world-famous Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland home to artists such as Quincy Jones, Stevie Nicks, Jill Scott and BB King.

Her performance includes members of Preservation Hall Jazz Band including Rickie Monie on piano, Kevin Louis on trumpet, Calvin Johnson on saxophone (who recently appeared in the Bolden film about Buddy Bolden), Ronell Johnson on trombone, Glen Finister Andrews on percussion, and Mark Brooks on bass!
