Join Laveaux and her band on Thursday October 27th at 2:00 PM CDT for an afternoon of traditional vocals and rhythms, as they raise the vibration with traditional Voodoo songs, Spirituals, and Jazz. Sponsored by the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park & Preserve.

We will celebrate the New Orleans Voodoo New Year with Voodoo Queen Kalindah Laveaux.  This is the time to honor our Ancestors; all those who came before us. 

This program takes place inside our third-floor Performance Center, listening room. Admission is free and open to the public, seating is limited and offered first come, first serve. Learn more about our program admission policy

Voodoo Queen Kalindah Laveaux

Voodoo Queen Kalindah Laveaux is an authentic New Orleans Voodoo Priestess who comes from a strong lineage of traditional spiritual practices. Kalindah is an accomplished singer who honors her ancestors and spiritual lineage through her music. Today Kalindah will honor those that came from the middle passage to New Orleans and Africans who were enslaved throughout the world with spirituals, call-and-response songs, as well as traditional jazz standards.
