What is Dia de Los Muertos?
Día de Los Muertos is a celebration of life that originated in central and southern Mexico and dated back 3,000 years. In modern-day celebrations, people paint their faces to look like skulls decorating them to represent a deceased loved one or an expression of themselves.
Why celebrate?
To remember and honor the memory of deceased loved ones. It is not a sad or morbid occasion, instead, it is a festive and colorful holiday celebrating the life of those who have passed on.
