Beginner French course presented by The Alliance Française de La Nouvelle-Orléans and the New Orleans Jazz Museum

This class was originally set for Saturday, December 3rd in the Education Center but was rescheduled due to the Gala. It will take place in the Jazz Museum Office on the Barracks Street Side. The rest of the classes will resume in the Education Center effective December 17th.

The Alliance Française de La Nouvelle-Orléans is excited to launch their first beginner French course in the heart of the historic French Quarter! Registration is open!

Learn beginner French at the New Orleans Jazz Museum starting October 15th at 10:00 AM CDT for 10 weeks.

This class is 2.5 hours and will take place in the Jazz Museum Office on the Barracks Street Side at the New Orleans Jazz Museum.

This course is designed for students with no French language background and taught by Blaze D'Amico.

So you’ve decided you’d like to learn French. You’re an absolute beginner, and don’t know where to start. Beginner Step 1 is the course for you! This course serves as a bienvenue to the French language. Throughout this ten-week course, you will discover the beauty of the French language, and cover the basics, such as introducing yourself and others (Bonjour, je m’appelle Jean), spelling and counting (un, deux, trois…), and general greetings and politeness (Salut, s’il vous plait, merci beaucoup). You’ll also learn how to ask a question, how to communicate, and explain why you are learning French. This course is designed for complete beginners of French, and no prior knowledge is necessary.
