Dennis Gonzalez, leader of the family trio Yells At Eels, first played with New Orleans musicians Kidd Jordan, Marlon Jordan, Elton Heron, the late Clyde Kerr, and the late Tim Green beginning in the mid-80’s. Yells At Eels has been together since 1999 and has played all over the U.S., Europe, Canada, and Mexico, with 12 recordings under its belt featuring today’s guest, the Portuguese saxophonist Rodrigo Amado, as well as Alvin Fielder, Oliver Lake, Famoudou Don Moye, Louis Moholo-Moholo, and Malachi Favors, among others.
