Dr. Laura Kelley presents “Indigenous Challenges to Iberian Claims: Native Sovereignty in Spanish Louisiana”
The New Orleans Catahoulas (cat-a-hoo-las) specialize in the lost sounds of the city’s golden age of Rhythm and Blues- the 1950s and 60s. Their mission is to bring back the nearly forgotten music of that musical era, and to inspire a new generation who embraces its rhythm and soul. For this show, the Catahoulas will be performing songs from Allen Toussaint, Fats Domino, Dave Bartholomew, Dr. John, and Art Neville.
