“Conversations with Jimmy” uses the award-winning film classic James Baldwin: The Price of the Ticket – recently re-mastered to Digital Wide Screen HD – to spark discussion on diversity, discrimination, and the meaning of brotherhood in the context of current events. This screening will take place at the Old U.S. Mint. The afternoon will begin with music by Ashlin Parker at 12:30 pm. The film screening will start at 1:00 pm and will be followed by a discussion between audience members, musicians, NPS rangers, and film makers Karen Thorsen and Douglas K. Dempsey. The musical performance, film screening, and discussion are all free and open to the public.
