About the long term partnership between Landry-Walker High School (NOLA) and Villes Des Musiques Du Monde:

In the context of the 300th Anniversary of New Orleans, the long term partnership between Landry-Walker High School (NOLA) and Villes Des Musiques Du Monde seems to make real sense. Since May 2014, local NGO World Cities Music Festival (Villes des Musiques du Monde) has indeed been developing a long-term partnership with Landry-Walker High School’s musical department.

Together with Wilbert Rawlins, musical director of the High school, an educational program teaching brass band music in schools has been build and organised in 5 different towns. This program has reach 100 persons, amateur musicians, among them some totally novice. This program has contributed to create 6 different French Junior Brass Band. This program has contributed to celebrate American culture, art, friendship and solidarity between France and the United States.
