Lulu White: Queen of Storyville

New Orleans singer and entertainer Anais St. John brings her latest cabaret show to the Festival: the story of Lulu White, brothel madam and shrewd entrepreneur, who reigned over New Orleans’ red light district, Storyville, in the early 1900s. Anais brings to life the sultry story of this infamous madam through popular song and spoken word. This Jonathan Mares Productions event was created by and stars Anais St. John, with musical direction by Harry Mayronne; written by Denise Altobello.

Free and open to the public, sponsored by the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park.
