Join the museum for a FREE 9-week drumming course for students ages 55+. During this series, led by teaching artist Luther Gray, students will explore museum exhibits and learn the roots and development of the New Orleans beat from Congo Square to 21st century rhythms.
Students will then explore this rich history through hands-on instruction with djembe drums, dundun drums, maracas, cowbells, agogo bells, congas, bongos, claves, snare drums, tambourines and more. This course is free but requires advanced registration.
