The Jump Hounds will perform live from the New Orleans Jazz Museum on Saturday, October 24, at 5:30pm. The Jump Hounds is a New Orleans-based sextet that captivates audiences and gets dancers on the floor with dynamic, energetic music. The band specializes in jump, the jazz-based rhythm and blues that bridged the gap between swing and rock and roll. Founded in 2018, The Jump Hounds have paid homage to this largely overlooked period of music by transcribing material from the original masters of the style and writing new music within the idiom. The band is currently working on an EP, to be released later this year.
