ABOUT Andre Bohren is a classical pianist headquartered in New Orleans. Bohren is a lifelong musician with eclectic tastes. His early obsessions were with Peruvian flutes and 1950's rock, followed by classical piano and then syncopated funk. At the age of 16, he performed Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue with the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra as featured piano soloist. He toured the United States and Europe with his father, American roots musician Spencer Bohren, for several years. He also founded the eclectic funk-rock band, Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes. Bohren spent nearly a decade focusing on piano. He studied under Dr. Janet Ahlquist for five years, another two years under Dr. John Murphy at Loyola University.
