DJ Pee Wee & TBC Brass Band will perform on The New Orleans Jazz Museum's Balcony on Thursday at 6pm CDT. Bring your blanket!
This Balcony Concert will be promoting the opening of our new exhibit: NOLA Hip Hop & Bounce Party: The Photography of Polo Silk. The exhibit highlights the photography of Polo Silk who began documenting Hip Hop and Bounce culture in 1986 and has continued until now.
The majority of the photos in this exhibit date from 1990 to the present. His work is a tribute to cultural NOLA hip-hop and bounce icons who are no longer living and who started global musical movements.
Guests will have the opportunity to view the exhibit for the first time and enjoy an outdoor concert. The Jazz Museum’s exhibits are open to the public Tuesday through Sunday.
Enjoy Music from home with the New Orleans Jazz Museum! Join the Jazz Museum online for their weekly Courtyard Live-stream Concert Series, in which dynamic musicians perform live from the Jazz Museum’s balcony! Tune in every Tuesday at 5 pm on facebook.com/nolajazzmuseum/live to watch for free.
