"Here's some young cats who met at FSU in Florida and now reside in New Orleans, with an impressive debut album, 'Synchronicities'. A nice mix of mostly sophisticated originals, a Trane composition (Satellite), a beautiful rendition of Mancini's "Moon River" that nearly brought me to tears, and a most sublime take on Paul McCartney's 'Jenny Wren'. I think potentially something on here for any jazz radio program/station".

SATURN QUARTET/Synchronicities: You duck into a restaurant to get out of the rain. There’s a jazz combo playing the corner. You soon find them more interesting than the food, taking your drink and moseying down to the rail by the piano to get closer to it. Damn! What’s the special sauce? What’s the something extra? What the what?? That’s exactly how this record makes you feel. Where did it come from and why is it so good? These cats should be at the top of every list.

Based in New Orleans, LA and made up of four young players and composers who met during their time studying at the fabled FSU (Florida State University) Jazz Studies Program, Saturn Quartet is one of today's most electrifying new entries on the international jazz scene.
Members of the band have performed and/or recorded with artists such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Iggy Pop, Ellis Marsalis, Jason Marsalis, Marcus Roberts, Nicholas Payton, Sonny Fortune and many others.
Since the release of Saturn Quartet's debut album Synchronicities (produced by Grammy-nominated artist Jamison Ross) on March 1, 2022, their music has been played continually on syndicated radio stations across the USA and in the UK. They have been reviewed by websites such as allaboutjazz.com and in the Hamburger Abendlatt newspaper in Germany.
