The New Orleans Jazz Museum and Jazz National Historical Park present a live hour of piano performance featuring Ryan Hanseler on Thursday, June 2nd, at 2pm CDT.

This program takes place inside our third floor Performance Center, listening room. Admission is free and open to the public, seating is limited and offered first come, first serve. Learn more about our program admission policy.

Born in Boston, pianist and composer Ryan Hanseler’s professional career has spanned more than two decades. His discography boasts countless appearances as a first-call collaborator and widely respected arranger. An inclusive expression and a commitment to melodic invention has allowed the New Orleans-based artist to collaborate on stage and in the studio with such distinctive voices as Branford Marsalis, Kobie Watkins, DeeDee Bridgewater and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Adonis Rose, Cyrille Aimee, Jason Marsalis, Wessel Anderson, Herlin Riley and Delfeayo Marsalis, in whose Jazz Orchestra he performed every Wednesday night at Snug Harbor before the lockdown. Ryan has hosted numerous clinics and academic presentations around the world and is an artist in residence at East Carolina University. He earned his Master of Fine Arts in Jazz Composition and Arranging from North Carolina Central University under the direction of Dr. Ira Wiggins and mentors Branford Marsalis and Joey Calderazzo.
