This show has been moved indoors to the third-floor Performance Center due to inclement weather. Seating is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

The New Orleans Jazz Museum, in partnership with the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park, presents a live performance of The Down On Their Luck Orchestra on Tuesday, July 26th from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM CDT. The Down on Their Luck Orchestra brings together National Park Service rangers and local musicians to perform traditional New Orleans jazz, blues, gospel, and original compositions.  

This program takes place inside our third-floor Performance Center, listening room. Admission is free and open to the public, seating is limited and offered first-come, first-serve. Learn more about our program admission policy.

Park Ranger Jon Beebe will be on Piano and Park Ranger Hunter Miles Davis will be on Drums. Darianna Videaux-Capitel will be the guest artist on Bass. Darianna Videaux-Capitel is a student in the Latin American Studies MA program at Tulane. A native of Cuba, she holds a BA in Double Bass Classical Performance from the University of the Arts in Havana, and a MM in Jazz and Contemporary Improvisation from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. In the future, she sees herself as an advocate for immigrant rights and equality through education and music performance.
