SOUND COLLAGE 2023: A Celebration of Music and Art

On December 1st, 2023 the New Orleans Jazz Museum will host its annual event celebrating the intersection of visual art and music through a mixture of musical performances, illuminated installations, digital sculptures and dance.

Dohm Collective is a Music and Artist collective established in 2015 in Mid City, New Orleans with the purpose of uniting communities and providing a safe space for creative freedom. A labor of love from a conglomerate of local artists, Dohm Collective is focused on unifying creative minds to display their talents together inside of our custom built projection-mapped 24ft geodesic “Dohm”.

No matter where the Dohm pops up, it remains a place of self expression, inclusion, and a hub of creativity for all to share. We are proud to present The Dohm Collective Experience: A showcase of local New Orleans Artist performances on our 3-channel silent disco headphones featuring live interactive visuals and flow arts while providing a safe, comfortable space to unwind and connect. Sound Collage will mark the introduction of the Jazz Museum’s special “Mothership Gallery” featuring artwork of the music legend George Clinton, courtesy of Spillman|Blackwell Fine Arts, along with works from an immersive, multi-disciplinary collection of sound, light and visuals. This once-in-a-lifetime experience creates a mind-boggling encounter with creativity led by the Parliament-Funkadelic genius, along with artists including Valerie Tevere and Angel Nevarez; Gregory Lasserre & Anais met den Ancxt, Stephen Montalvo, Derek Brueckner, Marcus Brown, Jesse Thomas as well as outdoor light installations by the Krewe of Vaporwave.
