David Bandrowski
David Bandrowski has been a regular on the New Orleans music scene for close to 30 years playing tenor banjo, 5-string banjo, and guitar in various groups and styles. David's styles are diverse and range from New Orleans jazz, modern jazz, funk, rock, r&b, old-time Appalachian string band music, bluegrass, and more!
David is a Deering Banjo Company clinician and has taught workshops at Chicago's Old Town School of folk music and has given private lessons and tips to artists such as the banjo player for Mumford and Sons, Bear's Den, and more. David has also been a contributing writer to Banjo Newsletter. Most recently you can see David as one of the hosts of the popular livestream Deering Live.
He has performed on stage with and/or recorded with Dr. John, Natalie Merchant, Donald Harrison, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Mike Seeger, Glen David Andrews, the Morning 40 Federation, and with band members of the Harry Connick Jr. Big Band, Fats Domino, The Allman Brothers, Merle Travis, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, the Rebirth Brass Band, Galactic, and many other well known and lesser known entertainers. He has also composed, produced, and placed music in many commercials, films, and television programs.
