The New Orleans Jazz Museum and the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park present a live hour of piano music featuring Audrey Smith on Thursday, June 29th, at 2pm CDT.

This program takes place inside our third floor Performance Center, listening room. Admission is free and open to the public, seating is limited and offered first come, first serve.

Audrey Smith

Audrey Smith is a pianist and certified K-12 music educator based in New Orleans, LA & the North Carolina piedmont-triad area. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Level 3 certification in the Orff-Schulwerk approach to music making from the San Francisco International Orff Course. She began her teaching journey in the general music classroom in 2011, through a New Orleans teaching artist program, and quickly discovered a love for sharing the joys of music making with young people.  With over nine years experience teaching general music in early childhood through middle school classrooms, additional experience teaching Yamaha Music Systems classes, and a lifetime spent music making and performing, Audrey uses her various backgrounds to facilitate developmentally appropriate musical experiences for people of all ages and to foster a lifelong love of music in all.
