Jaleo Flamenco
Jaleo Flamenco is a New Orleans-based collective of musicians and dancers dedicated to the art of flamenco— a vibrant, percussive style of music and dance originating in southern Spain. Rooted in the traditional elements of cante (singing), guitarra (guitar), and baile (dance), the collective’s performances are exhilarating visual and sonic explorations that range from deeply intense to light-hearted and playful. Singers Corina Hernandez and Anabél "La Cojete" Montana are joined by guitarist Greg "El Tornadito" Northwood, percussionist Miguel Cruz, and dancers April Goltz, Ingrid Adrianza, and Daniella Santoro. Jaleo Flamenco reflects a diverse array of artists and aficionados who share a love for flamenco and for sharing it with audiences in New Orleans and beyond.
