Belinda Moody Trio
Susanne Ortner - clarinet
Marina Albero - piano
Belinda Moody - bass

For Women’s History Month, the Belinda Moody Trio will perform new music honoring the female musicians of NOLA who have performed in the city since the 1920s.
Joining bassist and band leader Belinda Moody for this special all-women performance is Susanne Ortner on clarinet, and Marina Albero on piano.
Belinda says: “We’re excited the Jazz Museum is helping us bring music written and performed by women to our adopted home of New Orleans.”
March 8th is International Women’s Day and this trio is truly international.  Australian-born Belinda Moody has made NOLA her home for the past 15 years. Spanish-born Marina Albero and German-born Susanne Ortner come together for the first time for this special performance.
Before moving to the NOLA, Belinda toured Europe, Asia, and her home country performing with artists such as Teramus Hono, Ernie Watts, Carmen Bradford, and James Moody (no relation!)
Belinda’s career highlights include various recorded works of original material and scores for films including the UN-awarded human rights documentary ‘The Sacred Stones’.
