The New Orleans Jazz Museum presents its weekly Balcony Courtyard concert series on Tuesday at 5pm CDT. Bring your blanket! Seats are not provided for outdoor programs.

The Phillips Exeter Academy Jazz Ensemble
The Phillips Exeter Academy Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Marcus D. Rabb is 20-piece High School Big Band from Exeter, New Hampshire. Students range from grades 9-12. The ensemble performs traditional and contemporary jazz repertoire, allowing students to learn performance and improvisational techniques in the style of the jazz greats.
The current iteration of the band was formed in 2021when Marcus Rabb became the Director of Jazz and Bands at the school. The current 2024 trip to New Orleans is the first tour for the jazz program in the 243 years of the school’s existence. The students recently participated in a residency from February 15-17th in Exeter, receiving masterclasses and concerts from the world class Preservation Hall All-Stars and is looking forward to a joint musical experience with some of those musicians at the Jazz Museum Concert in March.
