On Thursday, August 15th from 5-7 p.m. come join the New Orleans Jazz Museum as we send off the Jazz Ambassadors to Costa Rica! The Jazz Museum is hosting a fundraising concert to help send the Jazz Ambassadors to San Jose and Limon, Costa Rica to share the unique culture and music of the Crescent City.

The New Orleans Jazz Ambassadors Program is an initiative between the New Orleans Jazz Museum and local universities, providing a rotating roster of New Orleans music students with the opportunity to perform abroad and serve as ambassadors for the city.

The Jazz Ambassadors will be sharing their traditional brass band music at Teatro Nacional in San Jose, hosting master classes in rural towns and local schools, and participating in the Grand Parade honoring Afrodescendente Day in the Costa Rican Caribbean.
