YALA is pleased to announce the return of our YALA Baby ArtsPlay!™  workshops at New Orleans Jazz Museum on campus at 400 ESPLANADE AVE/THE OLD MINT at 10:30 AM on Sundays from November - December 21 (except for Nov 30)

Series four, “Little Helpers!”  is designed for ages 6 months to four years old, though older children will also enjoy the series. This series focuses on language development, spatial awareness, and motor skills through movement and artful play.

The FREE workshops are presented by The Helis Foundation and caregivers must register for each workshop to participate. Groups from pre-schools and daycare centers can register with Kelly White YALA’s Director of Education at kelly@ya4la.org

Workshop #1 “Oh, What a Feeling!” (Emotional Development)

Did you know caregivers have a great impact on emotional development of their little ones? .Learn how you can positively impact the emotional understanding of your child this week during our YALA Baby Artsplay!™ workshop, “Oh, What a Feeling!”

This workshop is FREE and presented by The Helis Foundation, and you must register for each workshop to participate.

This free 6-part workshop series is made possible by The Helis Foundation. Our workshops provide engaging arts-based activities designed to instruct caregivers on how to use the arts at home to promote early learning. Lessons are conducted by certified Louisiana Wolf Trap Teaching Artists, who have expertly crafted multi-sensory experiences that foster children’s natural curiosity for learning. After each workshop, children and their caregivers can download our digital Connection Cards for tips on how workshop activities can be continued at home.
