Member of the Club is a 2008 documentary film that explores the history and traditions of New Orleans's black aristocracy through the lens of the debutante ball system. The film, directed by Phoebe Ferguson and Fernanda Rossi, documents the struggle of this society to maintain its upper-class status during the Jim Crow era. It is a coming-of-age story told from the perspective of an African American debutante and her family.
