Derrick Shezbie is a born-and-raised New Orleans musician. A member of the well-known Rebirth Brass Band, Shezbie is no stranger to traditional New Orleans soul-filled brass music. His debut in 1994 with Qwest Records showcased his self-taught style, shaped by what he learned while absorbing the raw talent and energy of the city’s jazz clubs.
