Connexion is a musical journey between Réunion Island of France, New Orleans, and Puerto Rico in a celebration of cultural exchange and the enduring legacy of the African diaspora. Through the rhythms of Maloya, New Orleans Mardi Grad Indian traditions, and Puerto Rican Bomba, the artists explore the shared history of resilience, resistance, and the Creole identity. This performance creates a dynamic dialogue between ancestral traditions and contemporary expression. Weaving together the distinctive sounds and cultural practices of three communities connected from the Americas to the Indian Ocean.
