Dolly Day Parade

  • New Orleans Jazz Museum 400 Esplanade Ave. New Orleans United States (map)

‍ “Dolly didn’t just preach kindness and generosity, and joy and inclusion. She lived it,” said Jill Dunchick, Krewe of Dolly.

‍ We welcome you to join the Krewe of Dolly as they honor the late and great Dolly Parton (January 19, 1946 – August 25, 2026). Renowned country music icon, philanthropist, actress, and playwright Dolly Parton has been an inspiration to all people during her time in this world. The New Orleans based Krewe of Dolly will be leading a parade from Armstrong Park through the French Quarter and ending at the New Orleans Jazz Museum to celebrate the life and achievements of Dolly Parton. The Krewe will meet at 4:00 PM and begin walking at 5:00 PM. The party to follow will be at the New Orleans Jazz Museum starting at 6:00 PM.

Dolly Parton’s family has asked those who want to contribute condolences do so by contributing to Dolly Parton’s legacy, Imagination Library. Imagination Library mails books around the world to children to increase their love of learning. In New Orleans there are currently 3,700 children registered, and the goal for the Krewe of Dolly is to reach 6,000.

Imagination Library donations can be made here: www.imaginationlibrary.com.
