Join one of the only festivals in the world dedicated to Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong in a two-day, free celebration of his life, legacy, and musical genius. Held each summer around Armstrong’s birthday (August 4), this festival unfolds across the historic Jazz Museum grounds with:
🎶 Live music on two outdoor stages – from traditional and big-band jazz to brass bands and swing, featuring rising talent and local legends
🎤 Indoor lecture series & Satchmo Legacy Stage – engaging talks on Armstrong’s impact with scholars and musicians
⛪ Jazz Mass & Satchmo Salute second-line parade – Sunday morning service at St. Augustine Church, followed by a joyful second line to Armstrong Park and the festival
